Modeling Match ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Modeling Match platform, which connects models and talent agencies. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services.
By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information you provide directly:
- Account information: name, email address, password (stored as a secure hash), and role (model or agency)
- Profile information: photos, body measurements, height, hair color, eye color, location, bio, category, Instagram handle, and agency affiliation
- Agency information: agency name, website URL, and phone number
- Messages: content of messages exchanged between users on the platform
- Portfolio content: images you upload to your portfolio
- Casting information: casting calls posted by agencies, and applications submitted by models
Information collected automatically:
- Profile view counts (we track how many times a model's profile has been viewed)
- Usage activity on the platform (features accessed, searches performed)
- Device and browser information for security and compatibility purposes
Information from third parties:
- If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Display your profile to agencies or models (depending on your role)
- Facilitate messaging between models and agencies
- Process casting call applications and manage opportunities
- Run AI-powered visual search to help agencies find models
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets, casting notifications)
- Improve the platform's features and performance
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With other users: Profile information (name, photos, measurements, bio, etc.) is visible to other registered users of the platform as part of the core service. Messages are visible only to you and the recipient.
- With service providers: We use third-party services to operate the platform, including Resend (email delivery), OpenAI (AI analysis features), and our cloud hosting and database provider. These providers process data only as necessary to provide their services to us.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. AI Features and Photo Processing
Modeling Match uses AI to power its visual search and profile matching features. This involves:
- Sending uploaded photos to OpenAI's API for visual analysis and similarity scoring
- Generating descriptive tags and attributes from your profile photos
- Using image comparison algorithms to match inspiration photos to model profiles
Photos you upload may be processed by OpenAI in accordance with OpenAI's Privacy Policy. We do not use your photos to train AI models beyond what is described above.
You can disable AI analysis of your profile at any time by contacting us or deleting your account.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Passwords are stored as salted cryptographic hashes — we never store plain-text passwords
- Authentication tokens are signed using industry-standard JWT with expiration
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Access controls limiting who can access user data
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your information using commercially reasonable means.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal information, portfolio, and messages are permanently deleted from our systems.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information through your profile settings
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from within your profile settings, or by contacting us
- Portability: Request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection: Object to certain uses of your data, such as AI processing

7. Cookies and Tracking
We use localStorage in your browser to store your authentication token so you remain logged in across sessions. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Google Sign-In may set cookies as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
8. Children's Privacy
Modeling Match is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account on our platform, please contact us immediately at contact@modeling-match.com and we will delete the account.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the platform before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
